August 2023:
LUFTHANSA
Crew Centre in Frankfurt (FRA) Germany
FIVE condolence tables are set up so crews can offer their deceased colleagues last words on their final flight.
The most recent case is a 56-year-old flight attendant who died suddenly and unexpectedly in her hotel on 4 August 2023 during a flight assignment. The CID is investigating the case.
“We have information that the flight attendant had been feeling increasingly worse since her Covid vaccination and had regretted it.”
"Since April 2021, I have witnessed over 30 condolence tables at Lufthansa - Frankfurt and Munich from active crew members. BEFORE 2021 it was maybe 1-3 per year. There have NEVER been five condolence tables at once!"
There are other voices from staff we received in the CN newsroom. We also have the photos of the other condolence tables.
We were also told that the German Federal Aviation Authority (LBA*), for example, only refers to the EMA* (European Medicine Agency*) when asked about the approval of the Covid vaccination for crew members.
It (EMA) is responsible for documenting (medical*) flight fitness in Germany, but when asked, it does not “seem”* to have such figures in comparison to previous years.
Are the condolence tables also roughly related to numerous incapacitated pilots reported in recent months?
WHY are both airlines and authorities silent?
